Paying out of Pocket
At Farmhouse Chatter, we specialise in customised speech pathology services for individuals who pay out-of-pocket. By opting for direct payment, you gain the flexibility and convenience of accessing our services without needing referrals. Whether you require assessments, individual or group therapy, telehealth consultations, or report writing, we ensure a comprehensive plan tailored to your needs. We are here to support you every step of the way, ensuring you receive the best possible care and outcomes.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Farmhouse Chatter can support Self-Managed and Plan Managed NDIS clients.

Medicare
When you or your loved one access Farmhouse Chatter services, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. To claim this rebate during your first session, you will need a Medicare plan from your GP or specialist. Please note that a gap fee will apply, meaning you will have some out-of-pocket expenses.

Private Health Insurance
Farmhouse Chatter allows you to claim benefits through your private health extras. Depending on your health fund, you may be eligible for a rebate on your Speech Pathology sessions. To claim your rebate, simply present your Farmhouse Chatter invoice to your private health fund, and they will reimburse your nominated account. Your eligibility for a rebate and the amount you will receive depend on your specific health coverage. Please note that private health rebates may change, and coverage can differ based on when you purchased your insurance. We recommend checking your annual limit with your private health fund. If you would like to know exactly how much you can expect to receive back for therapy services from your specific private health fund, please contact them directly.

Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)
A Veteran Card – Gold or White covers speech pathology treatment that is clinically necessary: Veteran Gold Card – for all conditions; Veteran White Card – for specific, accepted conditions only. You will need a referral from your doctor or GP.

Transport Accident Commission (TAC)
TAC can help pay for speech pathology treatment in the first 90 days after your accident. You do not need to contact TAC for approval first if: you have a TAC claim number, your doctor or other health professional recommends it, and it is for your accident injuries. You will need a referral from your doctor or GP.

Return to Work SA (RTWSA)
We offer assessment and therapy through the Return to Work SA initiative. If you have suffered a work-related injury that has affected your communication or swallowing, we can help you set goals to enhance your recovery. We involve you at every stage of the therapeutic process, in accordance with Return to Work guidelines.
